How to Import/Export XLIFF files from/to BWX (Vendors)

Users with the role Vendor need the following permission enabled so they can import and export XLIFF files. This permission is not activated by default.

Important: If you are Vendor and you cannot export/import XLIFF files, please contact the Responsible Project Manager, so that the PM can review your request and grant this permission, if your request is approved

 

 

This permission can be enabled on the User page, in the Permissions tab:

 

Thus, they will have access to the Import/Export menu, being able to export and import (individually or in bulk) XLIFF files.

1. How to import XLIFF files to BWX

1.1. Bulk Import

 

  • Selecting the task, clicking on “Import/Export” and clicking on “Bulk Import XLIFF”, the vendor will be able to select a .zip file to be imported into the project.




1.2. Import individually

  • Clicking on the actions button (i.e. vertical ellipsis) on the right side of the work unit and “Import XLIFF”, the vendor will be able to select an .XLIFF file to be imported for the task.

2. How to export XLIFF files from BWX

 

  • Selecting the task and clicking on “Import/Export”, two options will be shown:

 

  • Clicking on XLIFF and Selected Tasks, the XLIFF file will be downloaded

  • Clicking on Loc-kit and Selected Tasks, the TMX and XLIFF files will be downloaded
