Project - Overview



1. Overview

The Overview tab contains all the relevant information related to a project:

  • Cost - The total cost for the project

  • Total Work Units - The total number of WUs that are part of the project and the number of unassigned tasks

  • Progress - Percentage of completion for the project, taking into consideration the progress of all WU

  • Due Date - Project Delivery date

  • Organizational Unit - Display the Organizational Unit that the project belongs

  • Project Manager - The PM name and registered e-mail assigned to the project

  • Contact - The Project requester's name and registered e-mail

  • Tags - Display any tags added Manually or Automatically to a project

From the Overview tab, you also have full visibility of the WU progress


1b. Work Unit actions

Each WU will have additional actions available for the user:

Alternatively, the user can open the Bureau Works Editor by clicking on the file name

  • Download Original File - Download the original file uploaded to the project from the selected WU

  • Download Translated File - Download the Translated file from the selected WU 

  • Export to XLIFF - Download a Bilingual XLIFF from the WU selected

  • Import XLIFF - Import XLIFF files into the selected WU

 


1c. Actions/Options Bar

The Actions/Options bar will bring some actions and options:

  • Import/Export

  • Join in Editor

  • Upload file

  • Actions

  • Filters

2. Key Dates

This tab will display the Key dates (Creation and Due Date) for the project. Any changes to the project status will be displayed with timestamps under the "Status Changes" field, the user responsible for the action and its reason


3. Communication

The Communication tab can be used to add Notes and Instructions that are relevant to the project


4. Instructions

The Instructions tab can be used to add any instructions that will guide the vendors during the progress of the project

5. Files & Workflows

The Files & Workflows tab can be used to visualize the files according to their workflow


6. Reference and Review Files

The Reference and Review Files tab can be used to upload any files that can be used as a reference by the resources that are working on the project and to upload PDF files for preview and review (comments and markups)


7. Logfiles

From the Logfiles tab, the user can View and Download (in CSV or Excel format) the Logfiles created for the project

8. Tasks

From the Tasks tab, the user can assign the tasks available to the Resources that will responsible for the completion of each task in a project


9. Costs

When a project is created, the costs can be entered into the Costs tab:

  • Automatically - If a Price List is associated with the Organizational Unit to which the project belongs, when the project is created the costs will be automatically calculated, based on the number of Words and language pair and the costs associated with this language pair in the price list

 

  • Manually - When there is no Price list associated with the Organizational Unit, the costs will not be automatically calculated, but the user can manually enter the costs to the project at the language level or at the Project level (other costs), by clicking on "Add Items"

 


10. Translation Settings


At this tab, it is possible to set your project's configuration. Whenever some change is needed, the Save button must be hit.

General 

Translate empty segments only: the translation will be processed only on the empty segments when selected.

Translate not confirmed segments only: the translation will be processed only on the not confirmed segments when selected.

Complete task once all segments are confirmed: when selected, the task will be automatically delivered when all segments are confirmed through the Translation Memory. Manual confirmation will not trigger the automatic delivery.

Auto Translate From

Translation Memory: when selected, the project will access the Translation Memory to process the auto-translation. When the segment indicates a higher match than the percentage specified on the Threshold, the target will be automatically filled.


Machine Translation: when selected, the project will utilize the Machine Translation to process the auto-translation.

 

Segments

Confirm segments with 100% match: when selected, segments with a 100% match will be automatically confirmed

Confirm segments with a 101% match: when selected, segments with a 101% match will be automatically confirmed

Lock segments with 100% match: when selected, segments with a 100% match will be automatically locked

Lock segments with a 101% match: when selected, segments with a 101% match will be automatically locked

 

Mismatch Warnings

Ignore the Glossary mismatch Warnings: when selected, the editor won't show warnings when it finds glossary mismatches

Ignore the Tags mismatch Warnings: when selected, the editor won't show warnings when it finds tags mismatches


11. Translation Memory

From the Translation Memory tab, the user can view the Translation Memories associated with the project


12. Glossaries 

From the Glossaries tab, the user can view the Glossaries associated with the project
